In the heart of Paris, within the prestigious Trocadéro neighbourhood, lies an extraordinary penthouse suite that offers not only panoramic views of the city's iconic rooftops but also a masterclass in modern interior design. This sophisticated residence has recently undergone a complete refurbishment. Among its highlights is the masterfully redesigned bathroom, fitted with a selection of Riluxa pieces, which marries luxury with theatrical flair. Here, we take a look inside Hugo’s stunning bathroom.

Entering through discreet pocket doors from the bedroom, it’s immediately clear that we’re stepping into somewhere special. The design is anchored by microcement walls, gently setting a neutral beige backdrop that beautifully contrasts with the dramatic infusions of black. At the heart of the space is an exceptional centrepiece – a freestanding bathtub positioned atop a raised platform. This elevated platform creates a unique sensation, as if walking up the steps to the bathtub becomes a ritual: a deliberate transition into a realm of relaxation. Crafted from translucent black resin, this unique bath exudes sophistication and more than a little mystery.

The focus on materials can be noticed everywhere: a double basin in Nero Marquina marble emanates a sense of glamour and sits atop a fluted wood cabinet. A black metal-framed shower enclosure introduces an industrial chic vibe, perfectly offset by the gunmetal tapware.

Adding to the room’s allure is the gracefully curved wall around the bath that creates an intimate, cocooning ambience. An intriguing feature within this space is the beautifully arched niche. Adorned with raw-finished, fluted travertine tiles, this unique texture mirrors the bespoke cabinet opposite. Similarly, the stunning black Marquina marble of the double basin is repeated in the niche’s shelves, demonstrating an unparalleled attention to detail.

Sunlight bathes the room through a window that spans its entirety, creating an open and refreshing atmosphere. This Trocadéro project showcases how modern beauty, practical design creative architecture can come together.
